Our technical experts have meticulously ingrained state-of-the-art features into our web-based billing application. From transferring comprehensive databases to viewing billing reports any time, we have taken careful events to understand the requirements of our clients’ business. Our features are designed keeping in mind our clients’ end-user – we have implemented careful procedures to make our billing application extremely user-friendly, fully automated and centralized.

Following are the main features that enable seamless integration, management and access of billing data for clients.

Our unique web based billing solution is designed to effectively support bulk meter dataload to BCC database for new meters (BCCs are Bill Collection Centre situated in various subdivisions of power supply). This simply means that when an authorized user is logged in and has the desired credentials, he is able to load bulk data for new meters to BCC database which can be later updated to MBC (An MBC is a Master Billing Centre-the database that is linked to various BCCs and accepted as the centralized database).

The user can access the final database through a .csv file for further use. This feature ensures easy handling of robust databases and reduction of errors while transforming data from one format to the other.

Our computerized billing solution enables clients to maintain wide range of meter data like type, tests, faults, connection details, associated reading for the entire lifetime of the meter. The software also enables easy generation of essential reports like average life, MTBF, failure type, manufacturer and installation details etc. Users can also upload meter databases in their chosen format or insert meter details through the UI.

This advanced feature makes the metering system very granular and allows makes management easier and faster.

AMR is an updated technology that automatically collects data from electric metering devices and transfers that data to a central server for billing and analysis. Through this feature clients can transmit details of meter consumption and malfunction from the electric metering device to the centralized server.

Billing meters are pre-programmed with the AMR feature and users will have the option to set their preferred date and time into the system. Once set, the meter is programmed to connect to the central server using a prompt dial-up system. Upon connection, the meter reading is recorded and immediately updated and published in the Central database.

The final data consists of various details like meter reading, date, meter number, id a\etc. the central server database is also updated with these meter details which are then used for generating consumption bills for the end-users; the customers.

The application provides connectivity to SBM (Spot Billing Machines) and CMRI (Common Meter Reading Instruments) for easier access and transfer of data. The feature allows downloading of meter data from BCCs to the SBMs by connecting a compatible device to the application.

The client is required to login to the database to access the upload/download features. The download process is fairly simple – upon login, the user needs to provide the customer range or select the area or the consumer group. The system then picks up essential customer data like consumer index, area code, meter number, phase, load, category, and previous meter readings, arrears etc. A pre-defined flat file is generated which is compatible with the CMRI device and transferred to it. The application supports a maximum of 500 customer records and can download last 3 months’ meter details at any given time.

Our application also allows the user to upload data from SBMs and CMRIs – the user has to transfer the pre-defined flat files from the SBM/CMRI through the specified UI. The data uploaded contains all downloaded data in addition to important meter details such as present status of meter, current reading, bills generated and reading discrepancies, if any.

For all data transfers, the system will contain detailed logs with device number, user details, and time and number of records transferred. The system also checks repeated downloading of data and overrides the same to avoid data duplication.
